Individual sessions:	$100 per hour inc GST
Couples counselling:	$132 per hour inc GST
Pre-marriage counselling:	$132 per hour inc GST

We accept:	VISA and Mastercard credit cards, EFTPOS, and cash.

What can I expect at the first session?

Our aim is to put you at ease. The first session is an opportunity for you to tell your story, discuss what you would like to achieve from counselling, for us to assess whether the service we offer matches your needs, and for you to decide whether you would like to work with us.  

You will also be given a ‘consent form’ which gathers some basic information from you, and explains the rules of confidentiality and how we practice. 

Cancellations

We do understand that sometimes the unexpected happens. We greatly appreciate you giving us as much notice as possible if you need to change your appointment as we often have a waiting list for appointments especially Saturdays. We send out text reminders 48 hours before appointments. Cancellations within 24 hours of an appointment, and no shows (not turning up), will incur the full session fee. 

Medicare Rebate

Counselling sessions do not currently qualify for Medicare rebate. However, this does mean that a GP referral is not required for counselling appointments, and that sessions are not recorded on your medical records. Medicare does not offer rebates for couples counselling. 

Health Insurance Rebates

Oak Tree Counselling is an approved provider for Medibank Private Health Insurance “Bonus Money” package holders.

Oak Tree Counselling is an approved provider for Australian Unity Health Life Choice and Life Choice Plus policy holders.
