Clare Randall

My name is Clare Randall and I am the business owner and principal counsellor of Oak Tree Counselling. Welcome.

Most of my work involves helping clients who are upset, stuck or overwhelmed. I specialise in relationships, trauma and anxiety, however I also have extensive experience dealing with all the issues listed under Our Services.

Clients have described me as calm, kind and supportive.

Each session differs depending on your needs. Some sessions will be purely about listening and validation, others will involve more active investigation, coaching, or practical strategies (especially with couples). Many sessions are a mix. Although I am a counsellor, I practice therapeutically. Again the focus of sessions depends on your goals, and whether you have come to deal with your immediate situation or want to enter therapy.

I am qualified, insured, and a registered top level member of The Australian Counselling Association. I also have extensive business and life experience.

I am trained in the world leading Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, plus Person-centred counselling, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT or ‘mindfulness’), Narrative Therapy and Thought Field Therapy (The Tapping Therapy). It is my hope however that rather than experiencing therapy techniques, you leave your session feeling listened to, understood, validated, and supported.
