We accept:VISA and Mastercard credit cards, EFTPOS, and cash.

Our aim is to put you at ease.The first session is an opportunity for you to tell your story, discuss what you would like to achieve from counselling, for us to assess whether the service we offer matches your needs, and for you to decide whether you would like to work with us either as a single session or ongoing for however long you need it.

You will also be given a ‘consent form’ to complete which gathers some basic information from you, and explains the rules of confidentiality and how we practice.

We do understand that sometimes the unexpected happens. We greatly appreciate you giving us as much notice as possible if you need to change your appointment as we often have a waiting list for appointments, especially Saturdays. We send out text reminders 48 hours before appointments. Cancellations within 24 hours of an appointment are charged at 50% of the session fee, and no shows (not turning up) will incur the full session fee.

Counselling sessions do not currently qualify for Medicare rebate. However, this does mean that a GP referral is not required for counselling appointments, and that sessions are not recorded on your medical records. Medicare does not offer rebates for couples counselling.

Private Health Insurance rebates may be available. We strongly advise that you check with your health provider that sessions will be covered for either Clare Randall or Oak Tree Counselling before you commence counselling.
